I am an experienced speaker and workshop leader, running sessions with adults and young people of all abilities on drawing, sketchbooking and creating comics. My aim is to get everyone drawing and enjoying the making process without worrying what it might look like. I encourage people to adopt a sense of play around their art and let go of inhibitions that often lead to creative block. I share tips for generating ideas, using sketchbooks and visual diaries and finding ways to retain spontaneity and humour in your work.

I also run sessions that focus specifically on mental health, and ways of managing emotional distress and illness through creativity. Using my personal experiences and years of therapeutic work I have created workshop formats to help people who may be struggling with their mental health, equipping them with tools to express emotions visually when words might be too much.

I have previously run workshops at The Apple Store Regent Street, The House of Illustration, The Cartoon Museum, WOW Festival and in conjunction with Hospital Rooms, Cass Art, Creative UK, It’s Nice That and worked with many independent venues, charities and educational settings from primary and secondary schools to universities.

If you are interested in hiring me to run a workshop, course, talk or event please contact me via email. For 2024 I am available to run workshops and give talks in person throughout the UK. I am also available to run events online in the UK and internationally.
